From the Founder’s Pen
For me, founding Human Rights & Women Safety Trust was not just the start of an organisation. It is a resolve — to raise a voice against injustice, to secure dignity and safety for women, and to make every person aware of their rights.
Even today many people do not know their fundamental rights. In some places women face violence and discrimination; elsewhere children, the elderly and the needy have to struggle for justice, respect and equal opportunity. These problems inspired me to lay the foundation of a platform where the voice of victims is heard and they receive proper guidance and help.
Our aim is to spread public awareness of the rights given by the Constitution of India — equality, liberty, dignity, freedom of religion, protection against exploitation and the right to justice. We are committed to working, through awareness and constitutional means, against harassment of women, domestic violence, dowry harassment, gender discrimination, violation of child rights, human trafficking, social exploitation and injustice.
I brought office-bearers and people devoted to social service into this organisation so that this effort is not limited to one person but reaches the needy in every part of the country. Our strength is our organisation, our identity is our honesty, and our aim is the service of humanity.
My heartfelt wish is that no woman has to fight alone for her dignity, no victim gives up hope of justice, and no person is deprived of their rights. We want to build a society where women are safe, every person is respected equally and everyone in need gets the right guidance.
I call upon all office-bearers, members and supporters to carry this mission forward with dedication, transparency and a spirit of service. Our aim is not just to hold a post, but to fulfil our responsibility, bring positive change in people’s lives and help build a just, safe and caring society.
“Service of humanity, protection of rights and respect for women — this is our resolve, this is our identity.”
